Ideally, they should be at least a year old, stretch marks treat best when white or light in color. Scars that are darker than your skin tone may require a combination of inkless & ink treatments.
Most people will see 30% - 75% improvement after each session has healed. We book one session at a time and vary each treatment plan as necessary. It is impossible to determine the number of sessions in advance.
Generally speaking, larger areas will best benefit from the inkless treatment and smaller scars improve by adding the custom colored pigment. We can make appropriate recommendations during your consultation
We welcome women, men & non binary individuals who are at least 18 years old with valid ID. It's a safe space for individuals who are transitioning.
Since the texture of your skin changes while pregnant, it's best to wait until after you give birth or are no longer nursing.
It depends on your tolerance for pain. Most clients do not require numbing but we can apply it if needed. Our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible.
Although we cannot work on keloids, we can usually improve the appearance of raised scars with 1 or 2 inkless sessions followed by an ink session. This approach works really well on tummy tuck and breast lift scars.
The treated area will likely be red and raised immediately after the treatment and this inflammation should subside within the first 3-5 days. Between days 8 and 12 you may experience the "dark healing phase" during which the skin may appear to be darker than normal. This is a perfectly normal part of the healing process, don't panic! The area should be completely healed within 4-6 weeks.
In order to make sure that you will not be adversely affected by the ink (pigment) treatments, we require a patch test 10 days before your scheduled appointment.
